Adore S'mores? Proceed with caution.

I was on vacation the past several days.
It was glorious.
One night we made s’mores.
One of my clever daughters-in-law shared the 21st century version of s’mores.
No– not with melted tofu and alfalfa sprouts.
More like apples and Rollos.
Strawberries and milk chocolate.
Peanut butter cups or Andes Candies.
Everyone raved about them.

Since I admire the taking of lovely food photos for blogs, I gave it a try.
The other ladies artfully arranged the stacks of s’mores.
These are supposed to make your mouth water.
I don’t know. Somehow they just don't jump off the screen like those food blogs I drool over.
Maybe I should have tried soft-focus or sepia.

Mm, mm. Prude, I can just hear Mr. Dickens' Oliver saying, "Please, Sir, I want s'more."

Delightful! My mouth is watering...great ideas for the summer campfire! These photos remind me of your decorated Christmas cookies:)

Inquiring minds want to know......were these new versions of smores actually tasty? It's hard for me to imagine any improvement over melty chocolate and melty marshmallow warmly squeezed between graham crackers :-)

Blessings,

Hmmm. I haven't had one in years, but S'mores are delicious! The new variety are probably terrific, too.

S'mores wouldn't feel at home on beautiful china or crystal--they belong on a paper plate, so your photos are perfect, Prude!
