The schizophrenic winter of the midwest continues its bipolar lurch into a new month.
January gave us some snow, some rain, some ice, some cold, some record warmth, some clouds, lots of sun, and a general feeling that it was massively confused about its identity.
February is befuddled too and shows no sign of restoring equilibrium.
All of this means that when March comes roaring in it may find the lamb already firmly ensconced in the Upper Midwest, picking crocuses and planning picnics.
So before all trace of winter is gone I wanted to share a few photos from January that actually look like January.
Quick Bonny! Before it's gone!

What a fine way to start my day. Loved all the photos, Prude. I guess there is beauty in January after all.
Beautiful photography!
Truly winter has not been itself this year...much to the chagrin of my sons and their bored snowboards.
And I'm a little jealous that you thought to go out to take pictures when January was January and not June-uary. I kept saying, "There will be more..."
My favs are the pine cones, the icicle, and Bonny, of course.
The first pic with the sun flare is stunning. I really liked the stone on the barn or whatever building that is. Bonny, bonny, bonny!
My kind of winter!
